New Chapter
One must do what they must. It is the unspoken rule of survival. And when a world is destroyed, an entire race lain upon the chopping block, certain behaviors are ignored. So when the crashed massive vehicle of the Draenei skimmed the surface of Azeroth, survival became primal. So many lives scattered upon the green carpet of a living forest. So much death and dying, too much pain, hurt and loss. Tatycha was blessed, her entire immediate family survived the crash. She was enthralled. They could start anew, build a live together: a chance to not repeat the way of living they had before.
Here was opportunity to serve, to answer the call for strong able bodied males and females of the Draenei to step forward and rebuild. Fate and the Presence of the Light shone that day upon one family.
From a crash would come newness, and the hope of a second chance.
True, at first there were family who needed some help. They had barely made it onto the ship, just barely made it before the hatches were closed, even their meager belongs had to be left. So at the beginning this Draenei family accepted the generous help from those exiting the broken vessel. They were truly hurt, and so many helped them….too many it seemed. For those who were just thankful to be alive, they were eager to help the less fortunate who laid about the crash sight, begging for help and pleading for mercy.
Tatycha’s family knew that in haste, those helping souls who gave to the crash victims had neither the time nor the inclination to assess the actual need. When her family saw the opportunity presented to play upon the kind and merciful acts of those exiting the crash….they reverted back to what they were, opportunistic beggars and manipulative greed mongers.
At first she told herself it was a temporary situation. Her family needed to heal and regroup, think about their future, their goals. The crash presented them with the chance to start a new life, hard work and dedication would pay off now in this new world; it smelled of opportunity and wealth. But day after day dragged on to week after week and the family of Tatycha began to make their fortune from the shaken and bewildered survivors of the crash. It was pitiful and shameful.
Early one morning , before the sun broke the horizon of a new world. Tatycha made her exit, disowning family she stepped away from her past and into her future. She will make her fortune among the strange races of Azeroth.
