The woman was leaning back already, so it didn't take much of a tilt to aid the cherry grog down her gullet. A droplet ran down the corner of her mouth, licking its way along the side of her chin until it tickled at her jaw. She ignored it, for a moment... then twisted her face to the side as she knuckled at the annoyance inhaling a deep breath of the thick Booty Bay air.
It was early evening. The sun was setting off to the right, stripping down into its 'evening colors' before meeting up with the horizon. The evening hues made her red hair look like it was dancing on fire as it blew lightly in the dying breeze.
Beads of sweat clung to her green skin, pooling in the deep valley of her full cleavage which was barely contained under a faded brown leather vest that had lost a few too many buttons to be very useful anymore.
Her thickly muscled legs were clad in dirty black cloth shorts that seemed a size too small for her resulting in them looking more like a pair of black underwear.
Amber eyes watched those who wandered by on the dock with only mild interest. Alliance however made her snicker occasionally, and especially handsome male night elves would get a wink. When the goblins came 'round she would glower and shoo them away, spitting on them and cursing if they were overly bold.
She thought about the letter she had received from her Ambassador, Shari. So the gang had a new Officer already... that fine ass she had met not that long ago. And X approved him. That was more then unexpected but it made her almost smile.
Reaching into a pouch on her belt she pulled out the letter. It was crinkled and discolored as if it had been years old when it was only sent last night. She ran a thumb over the ink, smearing it a bit. We are eagerly awaiting your return home, Lady Kat. "i bet ye all are.... i just bet."
The letter had held a vague description of a potential that she was to be meeting. Someone she would find 'lovely' according to Shari. It didn't mention if the potential was informed exactly what to expect upon meeting Kat... her usual honey tanned copper skin had been rather green for awhile now. Kat's eyes closed and she chuckled throatily. There could be a lot of fun to be had with this one. Specially after she met two of the Cats' 'bleeding hearts' now she would meet a REAL Cat. She would meet THEE Cat.
Finishing off her grog she hailed down a goblin to go fetch her another then winked a gold coin at him in promise of swift return. "Make it a double actually!" she called after the retreating form.
So now was time to wait.... little waif would be disembarking the boat eventually.

Muffled whistling, a tune that reflected the barer's slight agitation, was heard along the breeze shortly before the accompanying body slipped into the dimly lit inn. Her eyes narrowed into a squint as she blew a few stray hairs away from her face, her stormy eyes adjusting to the light slowly as she took in her surroundings. She nodded at the innkeeper, who raised a curious brow at her arrival, inclining him to return to his daily routine. It was not the young woman's first time in this port city, and certainly wouldn't be her last.
She knew better than to arrive without her usual equipment, plus some added precautions. Despite this, the woman was caught slightly off-guard at the sight of the foreign orc. Nevertheless, she swallowed the growing lump in her throat and walked over toward her, allowing her face to contort into an intrigued side smile. "You must be the Guildmistress," she bowed her head in reverence before taking a seat and meeting the orc's eyes carefully. "My apologies to keep you waiting."

((Okay sorry about that; this should work instead.))
Muffled whistling, a tune that reflected the barer's slight agitation, was heard along the breeze shortly before the accompanying body slipped out of the ship's main cabin. Her eyes narrowed into a squint as she blew a few stray hairs away from her face, her stormy eyes adjusting to the light slowly as she took in her surroundings. She nodded at the ship captain while handing him a small coin purse for his trouble, ushering him to return to his daily routine. It was not the young woman's first time in this port city, and certainly wouldn't be her last.
She hopped off the boat's shaky surface with wobbly legs, scanning the locals. "You must be the Guildmistress," she bowed her head in reverence before taking a seat across from her and meeting the orc's eyes carefully. "My apologies to keep you waiting."

Kat raised a sharp, bushy brow at the human. It must be the one she was waiting for, but she wondered how indeed the woman knew who -she- was... Shari did not mention having told her that she was not human- or alliance looking for that matter.
Perhaps this one was a little brighter than average was all. She did also have a bit of a foreign look to her- what or where she wasn't right sure.
Sparkling amber eyes watched the human woman approach, offering no attempt at being subtle. The woman was a little nervous it seemed. Good. She wasn't stupid. Already Kat was intrigued.
"You must be the Guildmistress," Bethe bowed her head in reverence before taking a seat across from her and meeting the orc's eyes carefully. "My apologies to keep you waiting."
For a long moment Kat chewed on the woman's words a small smirk on her lips. When she finally replied Kat stretched out her back a bit, thrusting her chest outward as she did, rocking her elbows from side to side. "Well," she began in(and then continued to use)Common. "Would depend on a couple factors... and i could be someones Guild mistress... just may not be the one ye be lookin fer in particular." Her back reached, returning her spine to its comfortable stoop.
The goblin was now returning by now with the two grogs. Kat flipped it the gold coin, took one of the glasses, then nodded for the second to be given to the woman.
"If i be the one ye be lookin fer, that one, that one might be a bit pissed at being kept waiting, so, just pretend i aint the one ye were waiting fer and yer three pints in by now and don't care who ye came to talk to." she took a long drink then belched loud enough to cause a spider in the corner of a building to scurry away in alarm from the vibrations. "So what were ye here to meet this guild mistress fer anyway?"

She took the offered drink from the goblin but did not take a sip yet. Instead she nodded, amused. "Yes, we could go with that route... though it may not be as entertaining as going through with this conversation. The apology was courteous, not a necessity." she explained herself flatly, not moving her gaze from the being beside her.
"The same reason most people meet with a guild leader." Bethe shrugged, lifting the mug to her lips with her left hand, and smelled the cherry grog. She took a sip, saying, "I've heard many claims about you as a whole. I must admit that while bored citizens come up with rather wild fantasies, it is best to either confirm or deny them from their source."
Bethe pulled her legs up and folded her left over her right, balancing her weight evenly on the barrel she sat upon. She rested her right arm on her leg after pulling back some strands of free hair from her face. "And not many orcs can speak the common tongue." She added with a slight icy tone; "I know a lie when I see one. However, my compliments on the accent."

Kat's gaze missed nothing. She was long practiced in such things, and while her rough, tawdry exterior said one thing it belied the truth of just how keen she really was.
The orcesses nostrils flared, the golden hoop on her nostril catching the light before the dangling one the septum of her nose, tickling her upper lip a moment did as well before she took a swig of the grog. Her gaze was level as Bethe spoke about hearing many claims and something about going to the source. Seemed the little human had no visible weapons on her. However Kat casually rested her free hand on the butt of a dagger on her hip. She stroked it as if it were the head of a kitten.
"i can assure you, anything you've likely heard about me be true. Unless it sounded all good and flowery.. in which case... " she snorted and spat to the side. "i aint into that sh*t. Got Officers for that when the need arises. i heard ye met two of them." A finger raised to press into her temple, "do NOT judge the entire gang based off those two. i'm sure they f*cking sh*t flowers if ye catch me drift." She took another drink with a wide fang filled smile, "But HEY! No one can ever accuse me of not enjoying a little.... diversity here and there now and again eh?"
"And not many orcs can speak the common tongue." Bethe added with a slight icy tone; "I know a lie when I see one. However, my compliments on the accent."
Kat snarled and chugged down the rest of the grog before slamming the empty mug across the docks at the bottom of the barrel the human was sitting at. Her amber eyes lit with a dangerous fire that almost matched the red tones in her hair, "Ye know a lie when ye see one- er in this case HEAR one do ye lass?" she spat again, this time making sure to bring up a good wad of phlegm, "Well lean in a little closer, clean the f*cking wax outta yer ears and rub yer pretty eyes real good... coz there aint no f*cking LIE here. i be the real f*cking deal, and there aint no one gonna say otherwise."
Holding up her arm she displayed the branding of the double C's back to back on her arm. Shari'Adune had had one similar if Bethe had been observant enough to catch it. "i AM the leader of the Cheshire Cats," her eyes narrowed into catty slits, "and i been here waiting fer yer wide ass to show up fer the last f*cking hour."
The orcess bared her fangs again then snorted and shook her head thumping a fist against her chest before staring down into her fist- the hand opening slowly- shaking. "What sits before ye in this f*ckin impressive YET green piece of flesh IS me. Yer mind so small ye aint heard of illusion before? Tis what i got going on here... only it be a bit more... advanced. BUT never mind that sh*t. Yer either gonna f*cking believe me and we gonna finish this conversation without any f*ckin frilly facade sh*t OR ye can see how far ye can bounce on that ass away from me back to the f*cking boat before me dagger finds yer worthless backside."

Bethe's smile died with the setting sun as she looked at the tattoo on the orcess' arm. She did recall similar odd markings on the kal'dorei female, though it could have just been her mind lying to her at the time. She opened her mouth to say something before quickly clamping it shut and letting out shaky breath through her nose, loosening her posture along with it.
She nodded sourly at the mention of illusion, but didn't inch away from the woman beside her. "No mention of you from anyone was ever 'flowery.' That is why I was inclined toward your guild in the first place." She pulled back her cloak slightly, gesturing with her eyes to the now revealed toolkit along her hips. Her twin daggers were present, though significantly dirtier than before, along with her retractable grappling hook, and other tools befitting that of a cat burglar.
"I am not searching 'cross continents for a group of flowery pansies," she scowled as she said this, her face contorting in disgust. "... though if you would bid me; I shall. The two that I met with mentioned a lack of my skill set, which I will put to whatever use you see fit." Bethe closed her eyes, bowing her head for little more than a second, before looking back up at the orcess. "My services are yours, if you accept."

Kat rose a brow as the woman showed off that she was indeed carrying some items. Items that she held a soft spot for her in heart. Ahh, tools of the old trade. Snorting out a laugh she moved closer and gave the woman a good wallop across the back (2)"Come now, no need to slouch. i'm just playing with ye. Sorta. i don't tend no flower garden of that ye can be sure. Tis a wonder ye got through meeting those other two if ye indeed were lookin fer someone with some-" bites at her general direction, "bite. i can also assure ye Xrailax aint now little ball of puddin either. Grimun... he can swing either way, which is interesting to watch sometimes." Grabbin Bethe's mug she finished off the woman's ale then handed the empty mug back to her. "As fer yer skills. f*ck. Course they be welcome. But ye as a person come first, skills be f*cked. If yer gonna try to get in this gang yer gonna prove yerself. Yer gonna work with me people and show them yer mettle. If fer all yer talk to the contrary ye turn out to be a pansy i will pluck ye straight out meself. The Cats be a gang of f*ckin WEEDS." she grinned widely and winked, "Show us all yer a f*ckin tough mother f*cker of a weed and ye may get to wear the gang's colors. Got it?"

She considered the orcess' words, rolling her shoulders and straightening her back. "I understand that, but it wasn't Xrail or Grimun I met with. They were both night elves, male and female, though different in their own right." She frowned at the mug as it was taken, but didn't move to get it now that it was empty. "I'm willing to work along with your people, though I must admit previously spent more time weeding than embracing that nature." She shrugged, "This will be a welcome change."

Kat looked deep and hard into the woman's face. Her breath was heavy with the many drink's she had already had but there was absolutely no hint of drunkenness in that stare- even with the bloodshot eyes. When she spoke she jerked up a finger almost under the woman's nose, "Don't f*ckin change fer NO ONE. f*ck society and it's f*ckin rules from how to walk to how to wipe yer ass. Be YOU. i want absolutely nothing less."
She snorted and leaned back considering, "With the exception that is if you be only out to try and get in this gang fer ye alone... f*ck off. We work -together-. Ye wanna try to get in to show off how f*cking amazing ye are, how well ye can steal someone f*ckin blind, or your skills in dancing with those blades, go ahead. All that sh*t makes US look better. And in the end, tis ALL about how WE look as a -whole-." Her face withered and she sighed as she said it, "Dare i say it... about how we are as a .... a... family." Her head hung hen like she just said the worlds most heaviest confession.
Instantly her face shot back up to stare at the human again, "Don't ye DARE tell that f*ckin druid i said that," mutters, "She wouldn't let me live it down... nor would she f*ckin stop hugging me."
Reaching into her pocket she produced two gold coins and dropped them into Bethe's mug. "Go enjoy the rest of yer night, then go find the rest of the Cats. Ye got a lot of work ahead of ye."

Béthe chuckled, smirking slightly. "I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't change for the better, though my old 'family' may not have the same opinion. Doesn't matter now." She took a short breath and drew her cloak back over her toolkit, shrugging. "And don't worry about the druid, she'd probably be more occupied that I'm still breathing."
"As for the work load," she hopped of the barrel, taking the mug and swishing the coins within. "No problem with that, as long as there will be coin enough for room and board in between assignments." She took a bow before the orcess, "Thank you for your time, my Lady."

"f*ck yer old family. They don't matter anymore. Focus on where ye wanna be and put yerself there. As fer me... i aint always been in THIS form... i be workin on that small issue meself. Then i will be able to rejoin the gang on the right side of the fence."
She watched the woman bow and snickered, "Here all night if ye need some more insults thrown yer way. Tho the rest of the Cats are back across the ocean. Give them me best would ye? Tell em.. i will be home soon as i can."
