It had been a few days since Kat had met the human Bethe when she had gotten a message yet again from the Ambassador to keep an eye out for a very tiny human woman with a pony tail and nervous looking hands. Kat was tired. Tired and half drunk by 7pm as the sun was readying to set outside she had decided to plop her ass down in a single chair that lead to the lodgings. In her hand was a mug of half drunk ale as she sat half sprawled in the wooden chair. From this seat, she would see anyone heading toward bed. Where she should be. f*cking elf. And f*cking body! She was starting to long for her human curves and alcohol tolerance. It was becoming less fun and more of an annoyance. She could change the appearance of her damned pets, but getting herself back was becoming a problem. The 'illusion' had taken hold more than it should have. "Ugggh..." she took another drink and allowed her forehead to clonk against the table as she sighed, her face hidden amoungst her mass or fiery red hair.

The girl in question takes a few moments to rest, admiring the massive waterfall flowing behind the "Salty Sailor Tavern." It isn't exactly as endearing as the inn she's familiar with in Goldshire, but it's nothing to sneeze at either. Karrii keeps whispering the name under her breath, 'Shari'Adune,' resolved to keep it at the forefront of her memory.
Though unsure if she should have trusted the elf woman so readily, Karrii does feel a certain sense of comradeship with the druid, and after her small adventures today is at least a little curious about the rest of her 'Family.' The only setback seems to be her own preconceived notions about orcs, and she warily pays the goblin innkeeper a few silver for the night.
"Your room is upstairs and to the left." he instructs, receiving a nod in return.
"Thank you." Karrii answers, replacing her gold pouch deeper within her armor. She sucks in a nervous breath, squares her shoulders, and starts up the gently inclining staircase, her heart pounding in her chest as she ascends. Copper eyes fall on the Orcess, and her heart skips. She really is an orc, green skin and all.
With a weary breath, she approaches, struggling to remain graceful and elegant. It's never been her forte. "Are you Lady Kat?" she questions, placing her palms gently on the table's surface, far from the single-barreled rifle on her back. "An elf named Shari'Adune sent me."

The orcess' forehead banged a few more hollow times on the table, jostling the candle, and sending ripples through the ale in the mug that was still clutched in her hand. When she spoke it was as if it had taken great effort for the sound to crawl out of her throat and pry past her cracked lips. Though the voice was 'orcish' there was a very unmistakable Common, dwarvish accent that paraded through it like a line of show girls.
"That f*ckin elf." her tone became mocking and high pitched, "Shari'Adune sent me...UUUGHH, By Elune if i ever get back i am goin to strangle that f*ckin thing with her long prittee hair." The words were a bit muffled as Kat hadn't actually looked up yet or escaped the sanctuary of the darkness behind her curled arm.
Suddenly she sat up, arms open wide, looking like a Santa ready for the next child to climb upon her lap, "FINE! f*cking FINE!" Pointing to an extra chair at the next table she gestured for the woman to pull it up to join her at her table, "And Shari sent ye, because she probably LIKES ye and yer a f*cking lost lamb who has no friends er family and needs a hoooome, how warm be i?"
The orcess squinted in the candle light watching the girl who looked young- really young. "What the f*ck ye doing at an inn this time of night and not home still suckin on yer mothers tit? Just how old are ye fer f*cks sakes?" There was a VERY veiled and very odd warmth suddenly in Kat's tone as she looked the spring of a girl over, "Need help with that chair? f*ckin thing looks like it could kill ye if it fell on ye..."

Karrii's eyes narrow, and she takes a step backwards in response to the voice meeting her ears. She doesn't expect that particular dialect, not from a green-skin but what does she know? Still, she struggles to keep her mind open, if only to tell Shari'Adune about her adventures with the orcess in Booty Bay. 'Sorry, I tried.'
The opposing female suddenly sits upright, and Karrii's tight fist shifts to the clawed mahogany stock of her second-hand rifle, her figure lowered as if ready to fight. That's ridiculous- if this woman were really about to explode in a flurry of dagger and fist, the bruisers downstairs would sprint upwards and separate the two of them in only a few heartbeat's time. There's no need for Karrii to draw her gun, and she forces herself to release the stock, her fist instead finding purchase in the top of one of the heavy ass chairs.
The urge to argue, to say 'I don't need anything from you' is strong, but she manages to quench it. There's no need to incite a fight, not yet anyway. "No, ma'am." she recites very politely, matter-of-factly as she wrestles with the heavy thing, rocking it first towards her body and then to the table, her size betraying her will to get sh*t done.
After the thing is finally in place, she carefully folds herself on the far edge of it, her fists resting gently on her kneecaps. "I think I'm twenty."

With a raised brow Kat watched the mouse like creature haul one of the chairs over. This was so far the best entertainment she had had all night. Her mood lightened .. a bit. This one was just as jumpy as a mouse too it seemed. Why ever Shari would leave the poor thing alone in Booty Bay was a mystery should would want solved. The druidess wasn't usually THAT dense.
Kat flinched and threw a hand over her heart as if she had been shot. She let out a loud death rattle and slumped her head backward. After a few seconds she lifted her head and gave the girl the finger, "Woman, first, don't f*ckin call me ma'am. Ever... just..." cringes and shudders, "Don't. Ye -can- call me Lady Kat, er Kat, er really if ye wanna play with me," her dialect changes slightly as she thumps her chest, "i be Ugnah." She rolled her bloodshot eyes.
"Good job with the chair. i'm sure there woulda been a stool around the other side of that pillar there," points vaguely, "but i enjoyed the show." The woman leans in a bit since she was 'getting down to business' as it were, and wags a finger toward Karrii's gun. "Let's try not to threaten ME again hmn? Specially with something that should be used to shoot maybe squirrels. Or small rabbits. i'da had ye dead five times over before ye woulda had a chance to draw it out." sucks on a fang looking the little mite over again, "You need work on some other skills.. like basic f*cking defense... er maybe just try to replace some of that sponge in yer noggin with actual brains. Then we'd be gettin somewhere."
The orcess took a good long pull from her mug, belched, then smacked her lips. "You think you're twenty. i think yer full of sh*t. But even sh*t has good purpose in some applications." Vague gesture, "Ye got buddy buddy with Shari did'ye? What family ye got that ye were so f*ckin bored ye'd end up meeting her instead of huntin rrrrrabbits with them?"

Karrii jumps a few inches- why does this woman have to be so loud? Her already thin lips draw into a faint line at the rude gesture, but she keeps her mouth shut. The huntress knows better than to spit out some god-awful response, particularly if what the orcess says is correct.
Sure. It might have been. Karrii is absolutely sure the woman's hard face and body would have shattered her already fragile weapon, leaving her more than defenseless. Its a mystery as to weather or not her stupidly small ammunition would even work on an Orc. The Lady isn't wrong. Karri has never had to shoot another bipedal creature before.
Another fear boils through her chest; she regrets leaving her wolf behind, and his absence begins to weigh on what little confidence and bravado she fakes. A low sigh leaves her at the insults, particularly the jab at her intelligence. It hurts, but she says nothing. There's no reason to care about what this woman thinks of her in that regard, and Karrii understands she is no member of the Kirin Tor. Hell, she barely knows how to read ledgers and wanted posters for vicious creatures.
"My family scattered during the Cataclysm, I don't know where any of them are." she explains, watching the lantern light flicker and wave. "I'm the only one who stayed." What, she wonders, would the Lady find to insult about her next? Shari'Adune's description was a gross underestimation of what Kat is like, and Karrii can hear the blood whistling through her ears. It's clear, she should have never left Elwynn forest in the first place, and what little real-world experience she has will do no good here.
The smell of sea-salt and warm winds reaches them even here, and Karrii knows the inn's door is still propped open. It would be a simple matter to fling herself over the balustrade and sprint outside and away from the challenging and callous woman, but it also wouldn't make her look good and while she isn't too concerned about Kat, she still worries about how Shari'Adune would see her after such a stunt.
So she remains, picking at her patchy kneepad, her gaze firmly fixed on a spot on the table.
"Ma- Lady Kat," she begins, correcting herself with vicious thoughts. "I don't know what you expect from me, or what she's told you, but I'm not some helpless fawn searching for a mother. I've lived in that forest my entire life, and the last five or so have been by myself with nothing but a gun and a wolf for comfort. I don't need someone to be my mother." After her little speech, Karrii cringes away, letting her gaze fall to the table. She knows fully well if she goes back to her camp and doesn't venture out she could end up as one of those old Crones with no friends, no family, a hag alone in the woods with nothing but animals for company.
That will not do for a human. Hell, it barely sounds livable for an elf. A palm snaps to her face, rubbing at the waterline of her left eye. The table had become blurry, its fine grained lines vanishing into a blob of color, and though her gloves don't betray it, her eyes are wet. Great. She's crying. Fantastic. So much for looking tough in front of this orcess, she thought.

Kat's eyes hooded and she began to making chewing motions as Karrii spoke as if shewing a cud. Her free hand went to help prop up her chin. Fascinating this little one was, really. And now she was crying. Oh for sh*ts sakes Shari really? This one?
"Nope..."Kat's voice was soft, scratchy, ye clearly aint a fawn... ye clearly don't need a mother.. " she let the words hang in the air, like little delicate pieces of ash, floating on a breeze trying to hold cohesion.
The air itself seemed to hold still. Even the noise of the other patrons somehow seemed to blot out, wrapping Karrii in a soft lull.... When all of a sudden Kat lept from her chair in such a manner her arm shot out to knock the corner of Karri's chair backward to send the girl flat on her backside, Kat's other foot swept out under the chairs leg giving it that extra bit of momentum to fall faster and more directed.
In all this, the palm of the hand that hit the chair to knock it back ward scooped toward Karr's little shoulders, hard fingers cradling the dip of her spine and the curve of her back. The whole motion almost looked like some choreographed dance, where in the end, Karrii was cradled perfectly safely in Kat's one bulging orcish arm, her face being tickled by some of Kat's long flaming hair as her amber eyes stared deeply into Karrii's. Even if Karrii's feet had lost their footing, the way in which Kat held her along the back showed both her strength and swiftness, knowing correct pressure points as well.
"Shhh." Kat whispered and knuckled at the human's tears with her free hand, as her body kept the heroic swooping in pose perfectly. Her tone remained soft- and oddly kind and sincere, "What ye need little Mouse, IS a GANG. Couple people who gonna be willing and f*cking able to catch ye at a moments notice. Even when ye yerself are sure as sh*t ye don't need someone there, THEY will be there, and, ye will be safe and protected."
Kat swung around, helped Karrii find her footing. even would have helped her sit back down if she had been too shocked to do so.
The burly form of Kat stood there, staring down at her, head haunched forward as was common for orcs, her shoulders rolls head, arms slightly belt, hands on her hips. Her long red hair was tousled about her shoulders showing various lengths.
"i be Lady Kat, of the Cheshire Cats." she let the last words sink in, "Shari's family. Her family... is MY gang. -i- am the leader. This aint how i usually look, so don't go f*ckin believing yer eyes er i will scoop them outta yer head now." She sat heavily back down into her chair, dust exploded out from under her leather clad ass, "i think Shari wants ye to have all that. A family, and the safety and sh*t that comes with it. And if my Ambassador wants that, then get to know the other Cats and see what they think. Ye got me seal of approval... if ye can give me yer trust and loyalty. We were all young little mice once... twas how life molded us is what made us. i think the Cats can mold ye into something f*cking spectacular. If ye can leave that f*ckin fear and the door and TRUST in us. We won't let ye fall."

The moment grows awkward between them, and Karrii considers showing herself out. Surely her little display of weakness would not go unnoticed, and the huntress wonders what the consequences will be. It's been a long while since she's thought about her sub-par living conditions and though in her heart she knows she will always prefer the wilderness to the bustling cities, it would be nice to be on a first-name basis with people she could trust and confide in.
Quicker than any being she's ever seen, Kat's fist pummels Karrii's chair into submission, and the huntress has time to only gasp and flail her arms before she's held steadfast in an iron grip. The positioning reminds her of dancing she's seen in inns, between young couples where the male wants to show off their skills, but she's never been the focus of any of these affections, and Kat's intentions seem more innocent.
The touch at her face is gentle, and the huntress finds herself leaning into the offered touch, her eyes pouring full-force. She doesn't sob, and it isn't ugly, but the Lady's face blurs and shifts, swimming in a halo of lights. A lump forms in her throat and all she can do is nod, her hands clenched together at her chest. She weighs less than one might expect, and her form is easily manipulated even though her feet struggle to find placement on the hard inn floor.
Completely dumbfounded, the small human wipes at her face again, until everything presents as clear. A gang- that had a ring to it. Dangerous, but familiar all at once. It has to be different than the gangs she's used to- causing mischief across Elywnn and doing nothing of use to anyone. If Shari'Adune, with her beautiful soul could belong to such a group, Karrii feels she could, too.
She regards the orcess with a gentle smile, admiring the gruff way she spoke. Once off-putting, it had become (as Shari explained,) endearing, and protective. Like a bobbleheaded doll, she nods her head up and down. When her voice emerges next, it cracks. "I trust you." she states, fingers fiddling uncomfortably with either glove. "If Shari'Adune trusts, so can I."
Her coppery gaze shifts to the woman, and she swallows away the bump in her throat. "I've met Shari'Adune, and... There was a man with her. I think his name was Grim'Un? I've met him as well. Who else is there to meet?" The thought of introducing herself to more people, perhaps as gruff as Kat, made her nervous, but if this orcess could approve of her, then they could too.
"Where can I find the others?" she inquires, misty-eyed, captivated.

At the gentle smile Kat snorted and buried her face in her mug of ale, which she spoke into "Enough with the soft n blubbery sh*t. i might miss next time."
One gloved hand reached out and clamped it over her fiddling ones. "And stop this sh*t. Now. People f*ck with mice.. but will give second thoughts to f*ckin with a rat. Ye wanna fiddle with something take up music er some sh*t. But when yer in the presence of anyone especially me, ye square those shoulders and MEAN what ye say and do. Cracks are fer poorly built dams and old ladies faces. Not voices. Specially not yours." Her amber eyes were hard now, driving the point home. "Ye trust people when ye been given reason to trust them and not before. Me, i coulda had ye dead by now but i aint so trusting me is a pretty safe bet." she winked then, hinting perhaps the snarly orcess could be playful sometimes too.
"There be Xrailax, a stupid ass elf with more f*ckin heart than he lets on- watch him, he'd be a good mirror to learn from, and then there be this f*ckin side piece of meat Amallah. " Kat snaps her teeth in the air, "the things i'd like to do to THAT," mumbles, "ifyeknowwutimsayinehehhhh?" Blinks and snorts. "No, likely ye don't. Anyway, he be a lot like Shari'Adune i have gathered, minus all the air Shari got in her head, he actually got f*ckin brains."
Rollin her eyes Kat reached into a pocket and hauled out a questionable looking hanky. It might have been white at some point but was now as brown as the dusts of the Barrens. She tosses it casually at the girl, "Wipe up yer snot and eyes, Mouse. They can be found all over. Amallah is usually glued to Shai's side. Xrailax is a little trickier. Might need to arrange a meeting with him somethin like this was done with us. Ye got all that?" Raises a brow and peers over at her through the candle light.

The Lady reminds Karrii of the older sister she never had, what she hopes she was to those who came after in the birthing order of her family. She offers tough love, the hardest kind.
Her hands fall flat against the heavy table, as if they were chastised and fearful of the hand clamped over their fingers. Already, Karrii braces herself against the onslaught of words, her shoulders lifted, body unslouching. Proper posture, her mother liked to drill into all of her children. In case the King ever dined in. The same reason she kept a heavy dresser full of fine dishes they were never allowed to touch.
She nods once, inhaling gently, keeping herself stiff. Fake it until you make it, right? Karrii commits the names to memory- Xrailax, and Amallah. But the orcess brings her out of her head-space, and earns a curious yet blank look. No, Karri doesn't know what she means, and judging by the context, she would rather not.
Her hands lack hesitation as she claims the cloth, dabbing at her eyes first, and then wiping the gentle wetness gathered below each nostril. "I have it. All of it. I think... I think you're right. Amallah would be easier to find. I just have to talk to Shari about it. But The other- Xrailax... Do you wish for me to bother you with those details, or should I ask her about him as well?"
She wouldn't admit it in that moment, but a weight feels as though it's been lifted from Karrii's shoulders. It isn't solid, not by a long shot, but the gentle threads of companionship have been woven between this small group and her, and for the first time since that damn dragon chewed its way through her homeland, she feels safe and secure.

You could stick a broom pole down that little woman's backside it was so straight. When she inhaled so did Kat, mocking her posture now. The orcess sat so perfectly one could balance a cup and full to the brim saucer on her head and not a drop would spill. Her lips were tugged into a taught smirk. She remained like this, stiff, 'proper' Even crossed her thickly muscled legs, although it was a great effort to do due to the muscles.
An answer to her question about bothering Kat with the details never came. Instead Kat jerked her chin at the woman. "Look at yerself. Look at me. Do either of us look comfortable? Do either of us look formidable sitting like little prisses of the noble court?" her hand waved to answer, "f*ck NO." She slammed a hand down on the table that almost knocked the candle over and (likely caused the woman to jump a couple feet.). "Stop that too. Aint no one gonna give a rats ass about yer f*ckin posture. Except maybe a blood elf. And well, f*ck them anyway. Sit in a way that let's yer body look relaxed but keep yer mind sharp. Slouch in yer chair, but keep a weapon handy just in case. Always keep people guessing. -ALWAYS- f*cking be comfortable. Imagine yerself being shot through the head between the eyes right now. Ye'd fall over dead backwards in that same stiff, doll like position. Is that what ye want?" snorts, "i know -i- would want to be relaxed as possible, possibly giving the f*cker the finger with my last conscious movement."

Karrii offers Kat a sideways glance, realizing what she's done to herself. She's followed every rule her mother ever told her- sit up straight, don't look down, cross your ankles. Everything a proper husband would want, and everything Karrii isn't.
She nearly leaps to her feet as a meaty hand slaps the table, sending uncomfortable vibrations through her wrists. "Sorry." she mumbles, huffing out a quiet sigh directed more at herself than the orcess before her. "You're right." Posture like that is unbeffiting of a girl from the wilderness after all, but Karrii finds herself struggling to sit more comfortably. Her body is used to holding stiff, steady and still, with a hefty weight in her arms while she aims for the perfect prize.
Stiffness is in her nature.
The lack of a proper answer, however, is not lost on the small huntress, but she does not press again, though the curious fire burns heavy in her veins. She would have to figure it out on her own, then. That's fine- Karrii has been doing things on her own for years now. Not well, but she isn't dead and that's a fine start.
"Have you eaten yet?" she questions, tilting her head gently to a side.

"Eat? Pppfttt..i be mostly on a liquid diet." nods to her near empty mug. "But ye i suspect are likely hungry. f*ck, looks like ye aint eaten anything in f*cken weeks." Kat plopped a small coin pouch on the table, if one were to look inside they'd find a couple gold, few silver, some coppers and a jeweled ring way too big to fit Kat's finger. "Take this, order whatever the f*ck ye want. If ye gotta spew, that's fine, fill up again. This'll get ye properly fed, bathed and a decent bed fer the night. If ANY one looks at ye cross eyedd er gives ye trouble," taps her temple, "Ye reach out and contact me immediately and i will be in there. i'm stayin here tonight too. Tho not sure i will make a room." She snorted a laugh and shrugged.

Karrii can't hide the fact that her stomach is rumbling loud enough to attract the attention of any passing by, and lets a hand fall to the dip in her armor there. Like before with the elf handing over some fifty-odd gold pieces, Karrii has a difficult time accepting Kat's charity.
"Do you want another drink?" she questions, telling herself it would be rude to refuse the gold, and that she could take it as a tip if she were running the Lady beer all night. The prospect of good food hung in the air, and even though she has a strong dislike of charity, Karrii can't refuse this woman's gold. "Have you... Bought a room already? Should I get one for you?" Always eager to please.

Almost picking up on her hesitation to take the gold- and the reason why- Kat snorted and made like she would belt the pouch off right into her head if she don't outright take it.
"i got drinks coming, don't worry about me." she frowned and narrowed her eyes on the woman, nodding again to the coin purse, "Now look, i can tell we gonna be having many talks like these. Now that thought PISSES ME OFF... so let's not piss me off hmn? i'm only gonna say this once. The gang offers ye gold, armor, a f*cking toe nail polish, ye take it. Got that? YE TAKE IT. " her head shakes wobbily back and forth, "i be making an investment." Stares even harder, "INVESTMENT. Cats aint gonna give ye anything just because ye look pathetic as f*ck. We be investing in ye. Clear?"

Karrii's eyes glare at the innocent bag, steeling herself against the Orcess' words. "Clear." She claims it with no hesitation, lifting herself gracefully from her seat, without any other words.
Before Shari'Adune offered her the apple she absolutely destroyed earlier, she can't quite remember the last time she had a warm meal prepared by an innkeeper. Sure, Karrii eats, but dried slices of jerky and salted haunches are nothing compared to the warmth of stews or roast vegetables.
Descending the wobbly staircase gives her a moment to think, too. She could easily go, just leave through the front door, though Karrii feels as though that is no longer a viable option. On the other hand, she could order one of everything, and risk wasting too much. f*ck it, she thinks. I'm going to order too much.
She settles somewhere in between gluttonous and just enough, ordering two bowls of stew, a liter of water, and ten rolls. Bread keeps well, and if she can't eat all of that, she could always stow it away for later. Plus, the Lady is drinking, and Karrii doesn't understand it, but men and women in inns always recommend bread to her when she decides to drink, so she figures she could at least share.
Luckily, her stew comes pre-made already boiling over in a cauldron in the back. She doesn't question the meat, not in a place like this though... She sniffs deeply, and wants to guess the floating meat chunks came from a raptor. Good, its better than a goblin.
It's an easy feat carrying her quarry up the stairs, setting a bowl of stew down first, followed by the basket of rolls, and finally, her second bowl- which she would promptly start devouring. As the orcess might suspect, she does not stop eating for anything, keeping the wooden spoon tightly clenched in a fist as she devours the salty tasting broth. She can't pick up any other hints of anything else in the meal, she eats so ravenously.
Karrii slows towards the end, feeling not quite full, but no longer as if she were going to wither away, and begins peeling open a roll to wipe out the inside of her bowl clean, and finally, she finds her voice again. "Thank you. I don't think I ever said that."

An actual pleased smile was painted on Kat's face as she watched the woman. She had to admit, it all smelt freaking fabulous. She imagined the meat was either raptor or even just a couple unlucky rats. Didn't matter. All good protein and it was all making the young woman happy.
Karrii slowed toward the end, feeling not quite full, but no longer as if she were going to wither away, and began peeling open a roll to wipe out the inside of her bowl clean, and finally, she found her voice again. "Thank you. I don't think I ever said that."
Snortling the orcess shook her head. While the woman had been eating Kat polished off three glasses of grog. "Aye ye have. With every spoonful. Now... Now i'm heading to my my room. "she points one way but looks another then just laughs and shrugs, "i shall end up somewhere on someone tonight and itll be a good night. And ye little Mouse...." the finger draws circles in the air, "Ye.. ye don't ferget about dessert too."
Carefully, Kat got her pins under her and began to stagger down the bridge toward the sleeping cabins. Halfway across she stopped and looked at Karrii with half a smile, "i think ye would look good in red and black. See ye 'round Mouse." winking a bit she continued on her way to a sleeping cabin.

Karrii starts on a second roll, dragging up the dredges of the meaty stew. Her head snaps to give all of her attention to the Lady, offering her a good-natured smile, possibly the first that hadn't had to be uncomfortable or forced. "Keep safe." she comments, feeling dread for a slight moment. If something terrible were to happen to the woman, Karrii knows it would cause a deep wound in her heart that she just couldn't fix. It's the first time she's ventured out in a long, long while.
Deft hands crumble the rest of her biscut into her second stew bowl, adding some bonus texture to it. This one, she could enjoy. She's saddened to be alone again, and that feeling draws a wealth of other complicated emotions forward. She hasn't felt lonely, though she's been alone, and it's as if her eyes have been opened to the truth of things.
She watches Kat move, with half a mind to help guide her, but that thought too, fades as quickly as it comes. She doesn't need help from a scrawny nobody. That isn't who the Lady Kat is. As if reading her mind, Kat turns around and Karrii feels an uncomfortable wave was over her, expecting something drastic- for the woman to change her mind and insist somehow, Karrii wasn't good enough. But it's not.
It's fashion advice.
She laughs, a squeaky, happy thing, while she looks over her already dark garb. Black and red, huh? Sure. She can do that. "Sleep well, Lady Kat."
Karrii downs the rest of her soup and seven of the ten rolls, packing the others away in her bag for later. She offers the bowls back, uncomfortably full, and finds her own place to stow away for the night, reveling in the fact this inn has a bed. An honest to goodness bed. With sheets and furs and everything warm she's ever wanted in life. Karrii tries to stay awake, to contemplate the heaviness of her actions, but the warmth and the fullness is too much for her, and she sleeps hard and well.
