The small druidess sat along the edge of the lake behind Goldshire, not too far from the little warf. Her back rested against the truck of a gentle tree which helped to ease her troubled thoughts by allowing its leaves to dance in the cool breeze that carried notes and whispers of spring.
Drawing her cloak about her shoulders just a little tighter she gathered her long hair up and gave it a twist to lay over her right shoulder to try and keep stray tendrils from becoming reckless and itch her freckled features.
It was mid day, and she was grateful to the tree for also providing a sweet dappled shade. Stroking the wild rabbit which decided to rest in her lap she contemplated meeting the woman Grimun had taken a liking to the other night. The woman with the worgen curse.
He had invited her to come join them so she could finally put a face to the female he was often talking about. Against her better judgement of not wanting to intrude on quiet time between them, Shari succumbed to her curiosity and took him up on the invitation.
She found them sitting on the edge of the bridge between the mage and trade districts. Grim looked handsome, dressed in his tabard, bracers casual pants and boots. Light gloves adorned his hands, and his dark hair was tied back in its usual pony tail. The woman was sitting close to him, their knees almost touching. She also had dark hair and a pony tail, though she was dressed in battle armor and wore daggers on her hips.
Shari remembered how she had approached uncertainly... feeling the change in the air as she did. The woman, Solencia, had seemed to stiffen and became more on edge at the small elf's approach. Doing her best to make the woman feel at ease with relaxed body language and a chipper tone, Shari engaged them in small talk, doing her best to get the other woman to open up. She had wanted very much for Grimun to be able to show off his interest and have the first meeting go well.
Solencia seemed guarded in word and action the short time they were able to speak. When Grimun then had to take his leave to make some important adjustments on his mechanical hand. However before he left, a male Kaldorei happened along with an arm full of beautiful red apples.
He had offered one to each of them, however Grimun had been caught in mid-transport and was unable to answer the elf himself. So, he asked Shari to grab him an apple instead. Eager to please as always, she chose one for herself and her friend.
The human female had declined the offer of the apple, stating she preferred meat instead.
Both elves accepted her answer. Shari had studied the apple she had chosen from Grimun then had turned to Solencia, deciding that perhaps the little woman would prefer to present the man she assumidly cared for with the apple he requested.
To Shari's surprise, Sol declined taking the apple to give to him. This was very puzzling behavior to the druidess. Who wouldn't want to do anything they could for the one they cared for? Apparently this puzzling creature.
Trying the offer a second time, the apple was once more declined. The excuse the worgen woman gave was that she was an alchemist and routinely dealt with toxic concoctions and did not wish to touch the apple for fear of contaminating it and then having Grim eat it and become sick. This excuse did not sit well with Shari'Adune as she remembered how the two humans had touched eachother's hands in her presence. If the human had been so concerned truly about transferring toxin due to careless handling why would she have then touched Grimun's hand??
Shari had decided not to press giving the apple to the woman again. Solencia had seemed to be becoming increasingly uneasy and short with her words. The druidess did, however want to give the other woman some serious advice, fearing for her dear friend Grimun in the future with this woman.
She had informed Sol, that skin was the bodies largest organ, and transference of poison would indeed travel easily through the pores of the skin and into the blood stream causing illness and possible death depending what she had been working with. Shari continued to advise that in the future she wear special gloves when handling her alchemy ingredients and then wash her hands well afterward. It frightened Shari to no end to think about Grimun becoming poisoned due to such carelessness and lack of concern.
Then the human woman wrapped shadows about herself and retreated, leaving Shari alone with the male elf and her troubled thoughts... which she brought with her this day, beneath the tree by the lake.
Indeed Grimun seemed to care for this person, however with the refusal of wanting to please him by passing along the gift of the apple and then giving such a terrible excuse showing how careless she truly is, it turned the druidess' stomach.
Although Grimun was a very dear friend, she knew his choices were not always wise, as proof lied behind the reason of his new mechanical hand, and other past poor choices he had made.
Chewing on her lip she agonized about this cursed, unfriendly woman hurting him by breaking his heart or even accidentally killing him!
Eyes brimming with tears she inhaled a deep breath staring out over the lake, her fingers tickling along the rabbits ears.
