((As mentioned this is open to all, if youd like to take it in game we can easily do that too! Just let me know or don't let me know and just jump me in game!  Could be a fun rp hook for someone.))

Her thumb rose up and down slowly, tracing the smooth length of the mug handle.  Amber eyes were unfocused and lost in thought as she stared blankly through the dimly lit building of The Shady Lady.  Her hip had locked lock ago, as she leaned against the bar.

Quincy cocked a brow as he looked her up and down.  "Hey Shady Lady... copper for your thoughts."

Kat continued to stare blankly.

Grinning a bit, he coughed behind a loose fist, "Free rounds on the house!"

"Right here!" she barked, instinctively slapping her palm upon the wooden counter, hard enough to make a few of the bobbles and bangles Quincy had been appraising jostle.

His uproarious laughter made her blink a few times, furrowing her brow a bit before she finally rested an icy stare on the man beside her.  

"Da f*ck, man..." she glanced at her half empty mug and snorted, spinning on her heel to saunter over to the barrel to get a refill.

"i said, a copper for your thoughts.  You're just out of it tonight."

"Me thoughts be worth much more than a copper," she drawled, drawing the mug to her lips to suck back a hearty mouthful, "In fact, ye likely couldn't afford -anything- i have to offer."

He tried to look wounded, gripping a hand to his chest for a moment before adjusting his top hat with his thumb, "Come on boss..."

"Shh!"  Kat snarled, eyes darting about, "Aint no one knows i took over ownership.  So let's keep it that way eh?"

He held his hands up in surrender as Kat continued, "Been thinkin about a Tarot reading i had."

"A wut now?"

"This woman, used some magic cards and read me a future..." she ignored the look he gave her, "All the sh*t she mentioned sounded like me alright.  But i've been waiting to meet a hermit.. who is supposed to be either joining me on a path er directing me to one... Aint found him no where."

"Aaaand how long you been lookin for this.. magical being?" sarcasm oozed from every word.

"Couple days," she replied matter-of-factly. "i'da thought me destiny woulda been more punctual."
