((Hay everyone! Been a long while since I wrote much of anything so I thought I wold treat everyone with the first part of my new story for Amboro which I hopefuly also plan on transffering the Death Kinght him over as well in the future. So please sit back and enjoy part one of the tale! And take note that this may be rather graphic for some so I am suggesting a PG-13 to R rating. Also please feel free to leave a comment with suggestions or comments about the story.))
“HOLD THEM BACK!” The order roared over the battle field as it quickly turned to blood curdling gurgle as shrill incomprehensible noise of one of the Scourge ravager’s howled as it leaped through the air bit and ripping away flesh form the human’s neck spraying his comrades his the crimson. Claws teared away armor letting it fly away in chunks as two other joined it. Their claws not stopping till they had their fleshy reward. Clawing his stomach open like festering maggots, as they were all soon feeding upon his insides. The gurgle grew louder as he had tried to scream out but couldn’t as he soon died reaching out trying to find help. The soldiers that had been under his command went wide and froze in their tracks seeing their commander fall and was quickly being torn and eaten away. One of them let out a fury filled battle cry rushing the band of eating zombie, others quickly followed behind with the same battle cry.
But most were cut short as chains flew from the sky taking them up in twos and threes as they were brought screaming to the hungering bulks of flesh as they were cut in half and shoved into the open bowels with howling laughter as they tried to reach back out for more. They were losing it as it seemed no one would be getting out alive. Even help with the Church’s Paladins there seemed to do little but prolong the suffering of the allied forces of the Argent Dawn. The Scourge just seemed to prove themselves too powerful this day. They outnumbered their forces by too many, and those that weren’t mutilated or eaten were brought back to life to fight against them.
“RETREAT!” The call finally came as the unorganized retreat began as screaming soldiers began to turn tail and run, but was quickly cut by the appearance of the Lich King himself. “Pathetic mortals…” He said softly as Frostmourne slashed through the air. Pain filled scream filled the air as they withered to the floor clawing at their face. Skin a muscles seemed drip away and melt as streams of blood pulled underneath them as the embrace of death finally came to them. Arthas scowled at the dieing soldiers, “Unworthy… All of you….”
A near half league away the shape of a heavily armed Draenei swung his hammer about madly with large long reaching arks as a wide circle of Scourge surround him and the few soldiers still with him tried to keep fighting their way out at the sound of the order to retreat. But the screams of pain made them Argent Dawn soldiers eyes go wide in fear. “We’re completely cut off sir Paladin! I think we are the last ones here still!” One man said beginning to cry his sword and shield began to shake visibly in his hands. “I don’t want to die! I DON”T WANT TO DIE!” He screamed out.
“Shut the up damn you!” The second man yelled at his crying comrade as the three, including the Draenei stood back to back with each other. “We’re not going to die dammit! We just need to cut a pa-!” The second man was cut off as he let out his own scream seeing Arthas slowly begin to walk towards the trio. “No…. NO!”
“By the Light silence yourselves!” The Draenei roared to them as he took a moment to stare down at them both with the one good right eye, the left blind with a long scare running down it. “The Light will guide us through this now calm, and follow me.” His deep commanding voice order as the two nodded their heads quickly. “Yes Paladin Amboro.”
Growling softly to himself the Paladin he stretched out his arm as a bolt of Light jump form him arching out madly burning the Scourge in front of him in the strong blast hollowing madly as explosions of rotting flesh and bone began to clear and make a path for them. “This way! NOW!” Amboro ordered once more rushing down the path as the soldiers tried to keep up with his pace. Amboro kept their path clear with might swings of his hammer. “We are almost-!?” Looking over his shoulder briefly as the men were yanked through the air by a pair of chains. A small panicked breath over took him. He was the last one alive here… He was doomed…
No! The Light was with him, he would never give up! But the Light was what got him here in the first place… Where was it now to save him? Where was it to keep him safe and warm? “WHERE IS IT!?” Amboro screamed to the heaven as he fell to his knees. Scourge all about him began to slowly creep closer with hungry yellow glowing eyes. “Halt.” The cold stern voice of the Lich King ordered.
A chill of terror ran up through Amboro’s spine as his eyes went wide, but the look of terror was quickly filled with that of rage as his hand gripped tightly on his hammer turning on one knee quickly to strike at Arthas but it was quickly blocked by the blade. Getting to his feet Amboro howled like a beast swinging madly at the Lich King. “I will break you head in!” Amboro snarled at him.
Arthas merely replied with a deep dark amused chuckle as he smirked underneath his helm. “Tell me Paladin, where is your Light to save you now?” Arthas’s cold chilling voice asked as Amboro stopped his attack going wide eye once more.
“I…” Amboro started before looking down to the ground his body beginning to tremble at his words.
“I have been watching you Paladin. You have fought well against my minions but there is something dark inside you. Something that has been slowly starting to swallow you whole. Let it…” Arthas hissed taking a stepping closer to the Draenei, his eyes glowing that deathly frozen blue color as one black armored hand reached out and touched the Paladin’s shoulder. An icy chill ran through Amboro as the hand seemed to make him tremble once more.
“Silence Amboro just close your eyes and it will all go away. But first retract your vows, banish the Light from your soul!” Arthas’s cold voice ordered as the grip on Amboro’s shoulder tightened beginning to dent his armor painfully.
Amboro breathed heavily panting trying to think. He was in pain, he was tired, he didn’t want to die, but the Light had seemed to have brought him here purposely to die and rot in the field. Slowly his large head nodded at the Lich King’s words. “May my words be my promise, I accept the Light now more. Let my soul be filled with darkness and cold where the warmth had been…”
Arthas chuckled lightly letting Amboro kneel on his own as he pulled his blade forth once more. “Welcome, my Death Knight.” He said as the blade plunged into the Draenei’s stomach. Reflexively Amboro’s hands gripped the blade at his stomach as his eyes shot wide from the pain and cold that filled him. Looking up he could see the Lich King’s face clearly, his face was worked in a grin a demon would be scarred of. “So… cold….” Were the last words that left him as his body fell limp his hammer falling to the ground with an echo thud over the now silent battle field.
