Please keep in mind that you need to get to know as many Cats as possible. Even if an Ambassador is not online, don't be shy to /who Cheshire Cats and say a hello IC or OOC to whoever you see.

I know this is a stoopid question, but here goes. It's alright to just give a brief hello to a Cat, perhaps ask if they are free for a little meet-up? I know we potentials (as you call us) need some story reason to meet them...is that right?
And if that Cat or Cats are free, then just engage in some RP? The purpose being that we get to know the Cats and they get to know us?

Tatycha, that's exactly what you should do. Many Cats, like myself, will help you come up with a reason your character is approaching theirs if you're a bit shy on it or can't think of a good ice breaker (trust me, I've had THOSE moments ). So, if you see a Cat but can't think of a way right off to RP to them, whisper them OOCly like ((Hey! I'm interested in the guild and wanted to get an RP going with you, if you are free, but I don't want to just march up and exclaim that ICly. What do you think would be a good way for your character to be approached? Do you have any tips?)) Usually, two heads are better than one. So together, I'm sure you can come up with a good way to throw your character into the scene of Cheshire Cats in an interesting way. ;D

A brief hello OOC yes. Asking if they are free for RP, sure.
No, you don't need a reason to meet up ICly. There are things called 'random encounters' where your characters happen to bump into eachother for whatever reason. RP ensues.
The more Cats know you on an IC level the chances your character has of getting in is increased.
Please keep in mind however, many do not like a lot of OOC. Chattering away OOC is not acceptable generally as we are a heavy rp guild, we are here to RP, not discuss the weather where you are OOC, or discuss the expansion or whatever else. Please keep all OOC realivant to RP. That doesn't mean spending two hours OOCly explaining your character to someone however either.
Use the site as much as possible, for OOC. But should you have a quick question, don't hesitate to whisper someone.
If a Cat is unavailable for RP, don't freak out or think they are ignoring you. It's very likely they are RPing somewhere else. If possible they will think of a way to include your character.
If it seems like you are being brushed off all the time, send me an email with names and dates. i will look into it.
(Damn Ane you're fast. lol)

(Like a tiger, rawr. ) And yeah, totally, Kat. There's no need really for a huge immaculate back story or whatever to talk to a Cat. A lot of the time I suggest to people to walk up and point at the tabard and say something along the lines of "Cheshire Cat, eh? I've...heard some interesting things about The Cheshire Cats..." and BAM RP IS BOOORRRNNN. (Sorry, I'm a bit hyped on sugar and coffee this morning.) Yep.

That was quick, thank you both....and from what I understand, I need to send in an OOC app. and begin getting involved on the RP site. Thanks!
