I dropped WoW almost 2 years ago - I was playing horde on a PvP server... but I missed the RP action. Got tired of battlegrounds and never getting a good group for adventures in instances, quests, etc.
But NOW I have found this guild and I really want to play again and get the experience of RP in WoW.
So not I will get a high speed connection and reinstall the game. Thank the Gods for Cats.
Hope you all are doing great. And I look forward to be roleplaying with you in the near future. Now I know you exists and will get back to you.

Exactly what both Valrae and Kat said. For real, that's a huge compliment to us and exactly what we're here for! I hear you though. When I first started playing WoW I was on a PvP server, horde side. I got a troll shaman to level 30 and was bored out of my skull. And I even had real life friends on that server to play with. But. I longed for RP. Upon searching the forums, I found the Cats and it was a no-brainer. I knew that I had to atleast TRY for this group. And well. This October will be my 2nd year within the Cats. So! I'm excited to see you in game or even so just on the forums!

(Now I just ordered high speed INTERNET ... in just a few days I am fast again ...And I just made a new account. And I wrote my characters background story last night. I think I need to spend some time getting some levels and experience the world again and getting the hang of the RP before I WILL BECOME A CAT! Of cause I will try to meet you as often as possible - I just need to see the Barrens again for some reason... and Ashenvale. So you want me to wait uploading my description of Vee'lah up until I am actually on the server? Or do you want it now? Cannot wait till the RP experience. Yeah ... I am a 39 yo boy again )

((Nope, base + BC + WotLK should do you fine, aside from a number of highly recommended RP mods, the links to which you can find floating around here somewhere I'm sure. You'll want to have your character's description up as soon as you feel it's ready, you don't need to wait till you have a toon on the server. And while I admire your enthusiasm, I have to caution you that it's never a guarantee that anyone'll get into the Cats, it can be difficult, especially for newer roleplayers or ones returning from long absences. So my advice would be to work on developing your character and enjoy your return to the game first of all, and once you're comfortable, then giving the Cats a whack. It's great to see you're so enthused, however. I hope your return to WoW and RP is great. Be seeing you soon, hopefully.

"I think I need to spend some time getting some levels and experience the world again and getting the hang of the RP before I WILL BECOME A CAT!"
I am not aiming to become a Cat right away ... I know it is a slow process ... I want to enjoy the world and learn RP before I will (try to) join you. And the slow process is just fine by me.
So you will be seeing me out there long time ... and get to know my character - and I will get to know you.
I am quit excited ... it is almost like 1987 when I started playing D&D.

And you don't have to wait if you don't want. That's what the forums are for! You can post your description and join in on any number of open RPs in the public forums at your own free will. Also, once you do get in game, if you want to RP with a Cat but don't want to mention "HEY! I wanna join! " just then, you don't have to. The most important part of being a Cheshire Cat...is being a roleplayer. So. Above having the title of Cheshire Cat, we are ALL roleplayers and that's what we love. So, if you wanna RP just to RP, TOTALLY do it. Basically, you don't have to be a Cheshire Cat to RP with us. Also. Along the mention of add-ons (mods). There is a page on this site that has very helpful add-ons to download for RPers. I also recommend "WoWMatrix". It's a program that MANAGES your add-ons so you're not having to dig around in your WoW files. Though. It doesn't work with ALL add-ons, just the ones in it's data base. But it's a pretty nifty program for easily updating your addons and looking for new ones. *I personally use Myroleplay, Carbonite Quest, Auctioneer, Gatherer, Outfitter, AtlasLoot (<-- Shows you all the loot off bosses and what not in the game. Pretty much ANYthing you can loot. I like this because then I can see where I can go to get some pimpin' RP gear because you can try things on from the loot window on your character.) * Googling ANY of these will get you where you need to go to download them. So those would be the first I would recommend to make your game play nice and smooth.

[[For me, this guild is actually the reason I play WoW. I was about to quit till I found the Cats, and I'm certainly glad I did.]]

One year ago at the end of September, middle of Cctober I was looking for something more...the once heavy guild I was involved in had turned to raiding and ubergearanalretentive behavior. I came back to a character created on Sisters, horde side..and transfered my allie here. By chance I stumbled upon the Cats and their web site...actually all the trolls made me want to check out the Cats.
I read and re-read the forums' rules...began posting Cannie's history and description, began contacting Cats in game til one thing led to another and I finally became a Cat.
Absolutely no regrets. This is a heavy role playing guild, not because of RP content, but because of RP dedication....when you are on line...you are in character. Period. The one problem for any potential is to find a Cat uninvolved in some current Role Play to assist that potential in a new role play and help them become acquainted with the gang...
Welcome to the premier heavy role playing guild on Sisters of Elune.
