It was a year ago that Cannie Kay was going through the same things that so many of you potentials are going through now. She was out meeting as many Cats as she could. She was involved in a couple of stories on the boards and she had posted her description and back-story, plus she was filling in some history about herself. She was accepted in the Cats on 11/30/08. No regrets at all. Now, to explain why I titled this little post as I did. To the members of the Cats and to some of you out there...Cannie has been in a real funk, Mira knows why too, and Cirsee has been by her side through all of it. To stay in character, which is what Cats do....she had to work this all out, on her own. Her player cannot just decide that the story C is in was no fun and just pull her out. It had to happen IC. And it finally did. Because of the RP of Grimun last night....when he took time to just sit and talk with Cantera..... to the amazingly fun, hilarious, and close to home RP in guild channel this morning....C is out of her funk. (much love to Cirsee, Valukria especially and to Grim and even the discreet positioning of Demi.) It all had to happen in character, true to her back histories, the things that have made her who she is, the way she reacts to things....all these events shape her character and her behavior. THAT is why I love this guild; this conglomeration of misfits and issue-laden characters. Writers of sit-coms and reality shows have nothing on the intense and brilliant story telling of the peeps in the Cheshire Cats. You guys move me. Come...join the fun. HAIL CHESHIRE CATS!

I am glad to hear that, Cantera. ;D I would have had Ane help some how but Ane knows nothing about the issues with Cantera because they don't communicate often. But I have been following it OOCly and hoping for the best. ;D
Just to throw out there my own little opinion. The kicker for me to join the Cats (over 2 years ago now) was the highly valued 'The Line' post. Nothing to me is more important than character and person separation because I've had some bad instances with others who have taken things my characters have said to heart. I'm not well known for playing nice or gentle characters. Ane, for example, is blunt and harsh and does not take....well...ANYTHING lightly. And the fact that The Cats place a VERY serious value on 'The Line' is what has kept me here till this day.
We are passionate roleplayers who have lives, families, school, activities, friends, loves, hates and everything else outside of WoW. And the Cats embrace that.
So, here here, Cannie. I second your Hail Cats! ;D
