It was a cool sunny day in Auberdine, a salt laden breeze blew in from the sea, making the air feel stiff. The sun highlighted the girl’s hair as she walked out to the docks, lighting up a few blond strands as the pushed them messily from the small comb which attempted to hold them in place. Reaching the end of the dock, the girl pulled out a small black container. Pulling out a single purplish gem, running her fingers across the smooth surface of it as she sat down on the edge on the dock, her feet swinging idly as she waited for the boat.
Cyrrin took a deep breath, staring as the sun glinted dully off the small shard in her hand. Looking down at it, she smirked slightly. So many memories attached to this small little gem. “Interesting that one can be a follower of the light, and the shadow at once.” She spoke, softly, just a quiet reflection meant for no one but herself to hear. Her concentration was shattered by the sound of the boat pulling close to the dock.
Standing she nodded to the sentinels and boarded the ship, quickly shoving the shard back into her pouch, tucking the pouch back in to its home on the inside of her robe. A few moments later the boat shoved off, a few unlucky folks on the dock cursing as the ship left them. Cyrrin laughed and headed for the hammocks hanging below deck. It only took her a few moments to doze off.
…..
Cyrrin jumped as the decked hand shook her awake, announcing that they has arrived in Stormwind Harbor. Shaking the sleep away she quickly hurried to Old town. That’s where they hung out, at least from what she’d heard so far. The Cheshire Cats. Having spoken to a few, as well as a few others in and around Stormwind, a very clear picture had been painted for her, and she knew, that she belonged as one of them. A few things the druid had said to her had really left a seed in her mind, that perhaps she was being guided, and she knew, if it were true, where she was headed. She had found the family that she had wanted most of her life. The thought that they were always right there, just under the radar seemed a bit funny to her, the thought causing her to laugh out loud as she walked into the tavern.
She wasn’t sure exactly what she was going do, but she was going to join them, come hell or high water.
Her eyes drifted around the tavern, never resting on anyone for too long. She was looking for a tabard, a specific tabard, and she was going to stay until she found it.
