((I figured to ensure less confusion I'd use the same posting name as I had for my actual current applicant to the guild.))
Given Name: "Rhome"
Birth Name: Aranskah Grimtotem
Race: Tauren.
Gender: Male.
Height: 9'2"
Weight: 417 lbs.
Body Type: Chiseled.
Eye Color: Dark, dull red.
Mane Color: Black.
Mane Style: Two braids hang to either side of his face.
Coat Coloration: Solid black save for a small white patch of fur almost directly over his heart.
Coat Texture: Out of combat, well-cared for and smooth. In combat, damp, sweaty, blood stained in places, and gritty.
Horn/Hoof/Nail Color: All are naturally black.
Motions: Graceful, in the same way that a mammoth is graceful. Don't stop in front of it!
Main hand: Right.
Smell: Rhome's smell really changes based on his circumstances. He's meticulously clean, almost to the point of being a little compulsive about his hygiene.
--Outside of combat or when carrying out a light day's work Rhome smells strongly of Sanguine Hibiscus, a flower native to the Coilfang Reservoir. The scent is so strong it makes his natural bovine odor hard to detect.
--After a good day's work or in combat Rhome smells of all the normal things a Tauren warrior would smell of (sweat, blood, dirt, and bovine).
Sound: Rhome's normal speaking voice is deep and relatively quiet. Rhome has no trouble raising it and projecting it to carry further when the need arises, such as to convey his shouts over the sounds of combat.
Typical Attire:
--Seen in a city on a 'day off' Rhome will be wearing a pair of breeches. Possibly a belt with it to carry his favored weapon of the day and a shield over his back. Usually, however, he carries none of his fighting equipment when not wearing his armor.
--Seen on a 'working day' Rhome will move around in his armor. Generally speaking, if he plans on doing anything involving combat in a day he will spend the majority of it dressed for the occasion.
Formal Attire: When his presence is required/requested at formal occasions Rhome tries to get away with gleaming, battle-ready armor and a tabard appropriate to the occasion. Failing this he reluctantly dons a tuxedo.
Jewelry: All of Rhome's jewelry is made of gold, a visible testament to his appreciation of the precious metal.
--Horns: Two bands fit snugly to his horns about an inch and a half from their tips. These bands are half an inch in width and make a golden stripe in the smooth, black horns.
--Braids: Two cuffs are worn in the braids of his mane at the ends.
--Nose: A plain, unadorned ring.
--Hands: A golden ring bearing subtle ripples and grooves in its face is worn on the 'pinky' finger of his right hand.
-City Jewelry: Rhome wears all of the above (possibly more) in his relaxed attire.
-Working Jewelry: Rhome wears the jewelry incorporated in his most effective armor set as well as his nose ring and braid cuffs.
Body in more detail:
Whether as the crowning point on some precipice or the awkwardly large mass of metal moving through less-than-accommodating buildings, Rhome is easy to take note of. At 9'2" tall and four hundred seventeen pounds before accounting for equipment, Rhome often finds himself easily at least a head above the crowds of the Horde capital. Seen in such a scenario Rhome is a pillar of muscle and strength under metal plating. Sunlight glints off of his helmet and shoulder guards while a blue gleam dances across the large tower shield worn on his back in time with his movements, his right gauntlet rests readily upon the weapon he carries well below the shoulders of the crowd, and his left is only seen when he shields his eyes from the harsh light.
Most don't really notice the Tauren supporting all of the sharp, gleaming armor, too preoccupied are they with not being stepped on despite the care Rhome takes moving through cities. Red eyes which are dark enough to seem shaded even in the sunlight survey his surroundings. They are welcoming and friendly, part of Rhome's effort to appear approachable. The ripple of very well-defined muscles is not visible when Rhome is armored but is readily apparent on those days during which he doesn't intend to engage in combat. On such days Rhome is usually found wearing little more than a pair of well-tailored, black pants.
A coat the very color of midnight seems to glisten from most any light source; the only disruption in it a shock of white fur over the left side of Rhome's chest. Little larger than the size of a female human's hand print, this fur forms a swirl which has been described as encircling the Tauren's heart. Horns, hooves, and fingernails are all given careful attention and have their own gleam to show for it. More than once Rhome has found himself the target of jokes for his meticulous attention to hygiene, but this bothers him little.
Chiseled is a good descriptor for the lines that Rhome's muscles make in his body. The byproduct of years of combat, Rhome's muscles make small paths across his form that fingernails can very easily trace. Powerfully built arms and legs make him lumber rather than walk, and he always has to be careful about his movements lest he knock something over. Even his tail is more muscle-bound than a less active Tauren's.
Because his pants are matched to his fur Rhome has been mistaken for walking around naked on an occasion or two. Ironically the idea of doing this doesn't really bother him; the pants are for the benefit of others. Golden jewelry is the only thing aside from his white spot to break the black of his body. Two stripes of the precious metal circle his horns about an inch and a half from their tips, a single loop hangs from his nose, and two plain cuffs bind the braids of his mane. All of these pieces are plain and unadorned, and though Rhome doesn't volunteer as much, they are his own handiwork. The last piece of jewelry he enjoys is a ring he wears on the smallest finger of his right hand. This ring is different from the rest in that grooves and ripples adorn the surface. The reason is simple enough: Rhome enjoys spinning it idly while considering things or holding conversations.
Most of the above is easy to see about Rhome even from a distance due to the contrast of the metals against his fur. More difficult to notice are the scars hidden beneath his dark coat. A past like Rhome's doesn't happen without leaving its marks. Among the disruptions in his skin are the remnants of once-angry lashes showered upon his back and chest and the scars of battle. He doesn't distinguish the two if asked about his injuries. Rather he simply reminds the questioning party of his profession. Most the marks that truly stem from combat are simply naturally healed cuts and nicks. The most noticeable of all of these is the small, almost corner-shaped piece missing from near the tip of his right ear. Of course, it's actually rather minor compared to the other injuries. The reason it's so noticeable is that it simply is gone rather than still present and hidden by coat of fur.
Motions in more detail:
Try though he might, Rhome is not an overly graceful individual. He's not entirely clumsy, mind, but he's large enough that certain things fall beyond the realm of his dexterity. Rhome is very careful when he moves, but once he has committed to an action, particularly one with decent momentum behind it, Rhome has a hard time correcting mistakes. Walking isn't a huge ordeal by any stretch of the imagination, but the movements themselves look at home primarily among other Tauren and creatures of similar girth such as the kodo of their homeland.
Typical Possessions of use:
Rhome carries a variety of food at any given time - a logical thing to do for many reasons though the primary one is easily his voracious appetite. Fighting as much as he does requires fuel. Then there are the magical benefits of certain recipes. Try though he might, Rhome has fallen behind the curve of most chefs he's acquainted with. He continues to endeavor to correct this, but usually ends up procrastinating in favor of refining his techniques for cutting gems.
An expert at surviving on his own, Rhome carries near to eighty of the best quality bandages he can produce as well as a large number of healing potions. Cost can be an object on occasion, but if the lives of others hang in the balance the Tauren will put forth the money needed to ensure their safety.
Rhome also carries the tools of his trades at most times. He's of a mindset that you never know when the opportunity for monetary gain will arise or the need for a skilled blacksmith.
Odd companions (pets/mounts):
As a collector of rare and fantastic things Rhome is the privileged owner of a number of strange companions. Among them are a Phoenix Hatchling rescued from the Magister's Terrace, a Celestial Steed gifted him by an old associate, a riding Zhevra entrusted to him by the Nesingwary Exotic Mount Supply Company, and many others. While very fond of the Phoenix, Rhome has little care for the two riding animals listed here. Their size makes them an uncomfortable ride for him and so he will only exercise them occasionally, much preferring his kodo or mammoth.
Odd company (individuals):
Those who deal with Rhome often know that he usually keeps paid company. Typically these individuals are attractive and relatively young examples of their races. Never has Rhome paid for this sort of company from and Undead or from another Tauren. These individuals may accompany him into battle if they are of appropriate talents, or merely into wherever his home happens to be for the evening (typically Silvermoon City, Shattrath, or Dalaran). Usually they remain in his employ for at least the span of a month.
