Meetings and Other Questions

Ello everyone!

As some of you might know I have been working towards joining your wonderful guild. I have Role-played with Shari, and a few other members (including Khaz since she is my significant other ), but there are still a few people I have not met yet IC or OOC.

So I thought I would make a post here and see if I might be able to arrange for a chance at some role-playing in World of Warcraft. Or at the very least to meet some of the other guild members.

Also another question those that have read the RP thread that I started I was wondering if you could tell me anything that might be able to make it better? While I have been role-playing for years now, I am still getting used to it in World of Warcraft role-playing.

Anyways also if you have role-played with me, and have any questions or any comments I would love to hear them.

A response about the thread you opened (that is as much for you as for other applicants ):

My only thought on this that you don't already know, my dear SO, is that when I post a thread and no one responds to it within X amount of time (say a week) I take it on myself to advance the plot, maybe wrapping up initial conflicts within the thread, maybe presenting more, maybe developing existing ones further, maybe all of the above.

There may be something about the original post (such as where I ended in Dreams of Falling) that makes people wonder how to angle their character in. Developing the plot serves a number of purposes.

One. It offers new circumstances for others to consider when they read the thread and think about jumping in on it.

Two. It bumps the thread to the top of the IC threads so that it is not forgotten.

Three. It gives you another IC post on the site regardless of if your post is still flying solo or not.



Maybe it's just me, but I've always felt that role playing didn't have to involve other people in the slightest. It's more fun if it does, more involved and more natural with more changing aspects, but it's not required to involve anyone outside of you. This guild is IC 24/7.

That means that my answer (now that I'm in the tabard) to the following question:

If a [Cheshire Cat] falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound?

Is very easily "YES".

as for meeting kat in game, Katt's usually awake in the morning when there are less people around to piss her off. i saw you one morning while she was doing some business with the auctioneer...buuut since she hadn't met you ic yet or anything i couldn't really say much ic. perhaps i should have whispered you ooc however. bad me! *slaps wrist* tho you coulda whispered me too. bad you!

what was i talking about? oh yeah. meeting kat can be a touchy bit of business that can go south in a hurry. however if you're feeling lucky i'd be happy to arrange a time with you. list a time good for you, i'll barter with ya

Yeah Khaz can be awesome like that, and when you saw me I in fact didn't see you . You must have been in the shadows spying on me!

Seriously though as far as times, maybe sometime before I go to work? I have a few hours after I wake up (I wake up around 7:30ish server time, and tend to get online at around 8:00ish server).

8ish server i can do. maybe swing for 9 if possible but if 8ish is best for you i'll aim for that. pick a day.

It's the least I can do.... See I read somewhere that meeting Lady Kat was like putting two resumes with no differences save for the coffee staining the front of one into envelopes, shuffling them, and having to choose one blindly to present to her, the top of the totem pole.... Then again, it was also about meeting her first so maybe it's not so bad when you've been winging around with others in the colors here and there.

You'll be fine though. I got confidence in the best Troll-Killer Khaz ever met. *Wink*
