Glozelle Bordicci is the daughter of a wealthy and powerful goblin family. The first Bordicci made his fortune partly as a banker, but mostly through smuggling.
Having established themselves financially after perfecting the art of banking, the Bordicci line concerns itself with pursuing the other family tradition, and have even gone so far as to specialize within the field of artifact aquisition as patrons of the arts. Under Rottigo, they have taken up this unusual calling, partly to stave off boredom, and partly to discredit the popular belief that goblins lack sophistication.
Some of their notable protégés include Onslo Stonewrought, the celebrated dwarven sculptor; Daphne Softbeam, the landscape designer best known for her public work in Darnassus; and a gnomish engineer called Tophus Sparkfield, who came up with the concept of a mechanical garden; as well many other artists, writers, designers, and musicians.
Twice a widow, Glozelle lost both her husbands to the same poison, both on an evening when her brother Sessary came to visit. The death of her first husband was regarded as tragic by goblin society; the death of her second seemed downright suspicious. As a result Glozelle is considered effectively ineligible for marriage by her father, Rottigo.
The unusually sentimental goblin patriarch separated his children by assigning each of them to infiltrate an opposing faction. Sessary, Glozelle’s older brother and Rottigo’s heir, was sent to look for new talent and untapped markets among the citizens of the Alliance, where the Bordiccis already had many contacts. Glozelle was sent instead to the Horde, an assignment which she chose to look upon as an interesting and challenging opportunity, rather than a chore and an insult.
Naturally, she has one eye on her father’s will, and welcomes any opportunity to show off her knack for the family business, and enjoys making a fool of her impetuous and short-sighted brother in the meantime.
Glamorous and elegant, Glozelle has all of the typical distinguishing characteristics of a Bordicci: her skin is a delicate shade of light green, her hair is vivid blue, and she has a charming smile which rarely extends to her cunning grey eyes, which flash dramatically when she feels triumphant. At first glance she looks like a caricature of a haughty and scornful human lady, with sharp angular features, an exaggerated arch in her eyebrows, and high cheekbones.
Despite her diminutive stature, she somehow gives the curious impression that she is looking down her nose at practically everyone she meets.
